SET NEFRU, is a traditional Egyptian sailing boat with five luxuriously appointed cabins. Set Nefru can be privately hired by families or groups for between three and seven-day excursions to discover the Nile’s countless treasures: the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luxor, Karnak, Medinet Habu, Dear el Medina and Aswan. 

Originally built over ninety years ago for a member of the Egyptian royal family, Set Nefru remained in their service for decades. Now owned by Al Moudira, Set Nefru has been given a sensitive renovation and was relaunched in 2023, the great attention to detail now making it the most comfortable boat on the Nile. With WiFi throughout, luxorious cabins with softest Malaika Cairo Egyptian cotton linens and well appointed marble bathrooms, the dahabeya now has all modern conveniences while retaining the traditional and romantic atmosphere of a bygone era.
